"It's long ago now but I blame the Manchester United game" - Klopp reacts after Liverpool's 2-0 loss

Liverpool's once-promising season has taken a turn, moving from the possibility of winning a quadruple under Jurgen Klopp to now pinning hopes on the Carabao Cup as their sole chance for silverware.

The Reds' recent string of setbacks began with a heart-wrenching exit from the FA Cup, sealed by a last-gasp goal from Amad Diallo.

Subsequently, defeats to Atalanta in the Europa League and a slump in Premier League form have decreased their title prospects, despite an earlier lead in the standings.

According to CaughtOffside, Reacting on their recent woes, Klopp pointed to missed opportunities in previous fixtures, notably against Manchester United.

"It’s long ago now but I blame the Manchester United game a little when you play really well, with all those chances and don’t get anything for it," Klopp said, stating the team's struggles to convert chances into goals.

Despite the gloomy outlook, Klopp remains steadfast, refusing to concede defeat prematurely.

However, with each setback, the path to redemption grows increasingly elusive for Liverpool, leaving fans pondering what went wrong and whether a turnaround is still feasible this season
