Jurgen Klopp is set to leave Liverpool at the end of the season after nine years in the dugout

Simon Jordan has rejected claims that Thomas Tuchel should succeed Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager. Xabi Alonso was associated with the potential vacancy at Anfield before agreeing to Bayer Leverkusen, thus the Reds have forced to broaden their hunt for a new head coach.

Tuchel has been mentioned as a prospective manager candidate, with Ruben Amorim, Roberto De Zerbi, and Julian Nagelsmann. In February, Bayern Munich announced that the former Chelsea manager would depart the Allianz Arena at the end of the season, becoming a free agent.

Despite his impressive credentials, Jordan does not think Tuchel has what it takes to follow Klopp. Speaking on talkSPORT, the former Crystal Palace owner stated, “I would not see it.”

I wouldn’t see it from a coaching perspective. “He (Klopp) got involved, mostly through his contacts with the football club’s sporting directors and owners. He was a one-of-a-kind phenomena, and you will not find anyone who can imitate it. You are not seeking for someone who may divide it.”

Unai Emery, who is exceeding expectations at Aston Villa, has also been linked with replacing Klopp at Liverpool. The Spaniard has led the Villans to the Europa Conference League quarterfinals while also pursuing Champions League qualifying in the race for the top four.

Despite Emery’s remarkable performance at Villa Park, Darren Bent has dismissed speculation over the former Arsenal manager’s arrival at Anfield. He told talkSPORT: “Again, Liverpool are a bigger club. It’s true, but he’s been burned previously by doing it.

“He moved to Arsenal. I do not think the club was ready yet. Wenger had been there for more than 20 years. If he had followed Wenger’s lead, he might have survived longer.

“If he went to Liverpool after what he did, would you want to do it again? “You want to be the guy who follows that guy, do you understand?”

Meanwhile, Glen Johnson thinks Liverpool should grab Mauricio Pochettino from Chelsea. Speaking to Betfred, the former Reds defender said: “Even though I’ve said that Jurgen Klopp will be a difficult act to follow, any manager who comes in will inherit a great squad and an improvement in terms of player quality than any candidate would have had previously.”

“I know people will think I’m insane, but Mauricio Pochettino is a famous name who can step into that position and capture everyone’s attention. That would thrill people regardless of what has happened at Chelsea this season, since I do not feel it is Mauricio’s fault.
